The Rudd Institute says their mission is "to improve the world’s diet, prevent obesity, and reduce weight stigma." Their site features links to articles in the scholarly and popular press, resources for researchers, and bibliographies on related topics, all carrying the same oddly mixed message of not-quite-accepting size acceptance.
National Organization for Lesbians Of Size
SeaFATtle is a group that I've gotten involved with here in Seattle. We first got together in 1997 to plan local activities around International No Diet Days, but we had so much fun working together that we decided to continue. Out next project was to plan and put on the 1997 West Coast Fat Women's Gathering (and some of our members helped plan the 2001 Women Living Large conference in Seattle). Our other activities have included A Place At The Table, a memorial to victims of fat-phobia and size prejudice.
