Chicken Bulgarian

(from The Complete Yogurt Cookbook)

1 cup plain yogurt
1 tsp. salt
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. ground cardamom (preferably fresh-ground)
1 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
3 lbs. chicken parts
2 Tbl. flour

Combine yogurt and seasonings. Marinate chicken in yogurt mixture for at least 4 hours (overnight is best). Remove chicken from marinade (you'll need to scrape most of it off with a spoon) and place in a baking pan, skin-side up. Stir flour into marinade and spoon over chicken. Bake at 350 degrees F., basting occasionally with marinade, for about 1 to 1-1/2 hours or until tender and 165 degrees F. in the center. Serves 4.
