Applesauce Muffins

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup applesauce
1-3/4 cups flour
1 Tbl. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup sugar
1/8 tsp. cinnamon

Cream butter and sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, blending well. Stir in applesauce. Combine dry ingredients and stir into applesauce mixture just to moisten Spoon batter into lightly-greased muffin tins, filling 2/3 full. Bake at 425 degrees F. for 15 minutes. Remove from pan immediately and dip tops in melted butter. Combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over muffins.
